Client name: RAF Conningsby
Location : Conningsby
Type of installation : DSF & BBMF Stores
Complete August 2003
JET proved its ability to compete in all sections of the market by securing the contract to provide both heating and ventilation to the DSF & BBMF stores at the Conningsby base.
Although small in size, the project is extremely interesting: once completed, the store will house old aircraft parts and uniforms for the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight (BBMF) which operates out of the RAF base. Meanwhile, the DSF store will be used for storing goods associated with the Domestic Services Flight.
The building will be served by two JET air induction systems which have been engineered to meet specific building and application criteria. They will maintain the stores at a temperature of16oC during the heating season and are also capable of providing full fresh air in the summer to limit internal temperatures. The first system serves the main BBMF & DSF stores areas with an additional system serving a smaller area which comprises the Barracks Shop Laundry and Clothes Store.
